Press Conference:
Friend --
When I asked for your help to expand my Black Pastor Network, 291 supporters like you answered my call and financially contributed to tell liberals they're no longer going to be the only voice for Americans in urban communities.
I am so proud to march with you and supporters like you at my side, a former welfare mom who realized over 20 years ago that the government solutions to poverty handed to the poor only extend misery.
My life today was not the life I ever imagined it when I was living at the mercy of the government. Right after I quit welfare and started my own business, I discovered freedom and the American Dream I was told I could never reach.
In fact, when I took control of my life and pursued happiness through enterprise and faith, I was quite happy making money for myself and my family.
But it wasn't easy as anyone can imagine. If you remember my story, my business burned down during the Los Angeles riots.
I didn't let it stop me. I rebuilt my business from the ground-up.
But something was wrong.
Around me, all I saw was crime, broken families and ruined lives -- a past I gave up -- and it was getting worse. Politicians blamed everyone else for the problems in our urban communities, promising that more handouts would solve poverty -- the same thing they've told Americans for nearly half a century!
All the while, the solution was simple and right in front of us: personal responsibility.
I discovered that solution because my pastor at the time was brave enough to preach to his congregation to abandon welfare. That tipping point, that one moment in my life, is why I'm able to stand-up for freedom today. Friend, never underestimate the power of a pastor shepherding a congregation of souls stripped of their dignity.
There are more pastors out there who will speak against liberal orthodoxy, like my pastor did, if they hear from me and hear my story. Help me find them. Help me lift them up and encourage them to tell their congregations the hard truth -- the truth they know deep down inside that their flocks needs to hear.
Help me let them know that they're not alone.
Some say expanding my black pastor program is ambitious and they're right.
Years ago, I never would've imagined having 240 pastors listening to my story and sharing it with their congregations, as I do today.
Now we have an opportunity before us that few could have predicted four years ago: a black community unimpressed with a black president who doesn't represent their values.
This conflict has been simmering for a few years. Consider, in that time, we've sent more black conservatives to Congress than ever before!
Now is the time to act!
Help me break the chains that are binding poor Americans to a cycle of poverty! Help me end their struggle to survive that's bound to the success of corrupt elected officials and bureaucrats!
Click this link right now and contribute $60, $150, $500, $1,500 or even $2,500 and help expand my black pastor program from 240 to 520 pastors by November and I will encourage the pastors to be brave and speak-up for the truth to their congregations.
Freedom shouldn't wait. Please contribute to this urgent campaign right now.
I only have one more week that I can raise enough funds to effectively accomplish this task by November. I have a team prepared to execute my plan based on the finances I receive from supporters like you.
To boldly execute it, I must raise $33,850 by June 26. Let's lift up the voices who will speak louder than the leftist socialists drowning America in debt and suffering by contributing right now.
